"Reckless driver sentenced to ten years' imprisonment"

Sam Fox , 25 , survived but his 23 year old girlfriend , Tiffany Swan died in a car accident in Seng Kang area near Block 141 Rivervale Street on Sunday , 20th May 2010 at 11.11 p.m . His Subaru Forester 2.0x car swerved and crashed into a tree .

Jack Clearwater , 21 , and Oliver Clearwater , 22 , were the only witnesses for this accident . They were driving home as they passed by the crashed car . They summoned the police and the ambulance right away . Shortly , both of the police car and the ambulance arrived . Tiffany Swan was pronounced dead at the scene and Sam was unconscious . They sent both Sam and Tiffany to the hospital . The toxicology report indicated Sam's blood alcohol concentration level was 0.150 percent which was more than , 0.8 percent , the legal limit . Police investigation suggested that Sam's blood high alcohol level made him lost concentration and crashed into the tree . Sam Fox was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment by the judge , Jeff Black , as his girlfriend , Tiffany was dead in the accident and he , himself , was also severely injured due to such misconduct .

The only witnesses , Jack and Oliver said " We were on our way home and we drove pass a crashed car at around 11.15 p.m. We got out of our car immediately and we saw the driver and a lady next to him . We summoned the police and the ambulance right away . We were not aware that the lady was dead until the police , Tom Watts , told us the situation . We thought the both of them were just unconscious . "

A Strange Encounter

I was walking on a dark and gloomy street , the atmosphere was so eerie that even the sound of dripping water was spooky . Out of a sudden , footsteps were heard from the back . My heart skipped a beat . Millions of questions were running through my mind . " What is that person behind me trying to do ? " I increased my pace so that I can get out of this street as fast as possible . The footsteps behind also catches up with me . I started to get anxious .

After a few minutes , I finally walked out of the street . But , footsteps still could be heard from the back . I did not have the courage to look back as I was too scared . Cold sweat started to trickle down my spine . Tears were also rolling in my eyes . I took out my phone but it had been turned off automatically because the battery went dead . I intended to get into a crowd so that I could get rid of the person behind me . However , there was barely anyone in sight . I decided to take a rest at a nearby bench . The person stopped after i sat down and stood far away from the bench .

I was very curious why the person did not approach me since he had been following me for a long time . Out of curiosity , I turned my head to look at the person . He was leaning against the wall , facing down and looking at the ground . Suddenly , he turned to face me and started to walk towards me . When I wanted to stand up and run , he said " Wait ! " I was startled and stop what i was trying to do . He continued " You dropped your wallet just now . Sorry to have followed you for such a long time . I did not have the courage to talk to you just now as I have always been a shy person . I apologise for my actions ." He left my wallet on the bench and ran away . He ran so fast even before I had the chance to thank him . This was my first time having such a strange encounter .

Write about your favourite dish and explain how you would prepare it

When I was young , every time I went to the restaurant , I would order Fish and Chips . It consists of battered fish fillet and fries . Fish and Chips is nice as the fish is boneless and crispy . Although there are other western food such as chicken chop , lamb chop , chicken cutlet , steak and many others but I still like Fish and Chips the most . From young until now , I have went to a lot of western restaurant but I like the Fish and Chips from Ang Mo Kio's Jacks' Place the most as the fish is extremely crispy and they have crinkle-cut fries. That's why I like the Fish and Chips there . But they will be close for some days in the week .

Once , I remembered , craving for the Fish and Chips from there but they were closed that day . I do not want the Fish and Chips from other places so I decided to cook it myself . I went online to search for the recipe and ingredients needed . I need 4 cups of vegetable oil for frying , One fresh fillet , one egg , beaten with dash of salt , half cup of dry bread crumps and a potato . In a large skillet , I heated the oil . Then , I dipped the fillet into beaten egg and dredge in bread crumps . I gently slide the fish into hot oil and fried until golden brown . Finally , I drained the fillet briefly on paper towels . For the fries , I peeled and cut the potato in even strips . Then , soaked in cold water for 1 hour . After that , I fried it in deep fat oil for 5 minutes . After 5 minutes , i increased the heat and fried until french fries are tender and nicely browned . Then , I sprinkled generously with salt and tossed the fries to mix salt evenly .

Finally , I have done cooking the Fish and Chips . I tasted it myself . I think that it was delicious . The fillet was crispy and the fries was tender and tasty . I kept some for my parents to taste when they come back home . When they tasted it , they said it was delicious and wanted me to cook it for dinner next time . I was saturated with happiness when they said that .

Describe a sports event or a concert conducted by your school

"Finally ! After waiting for such a long time , the sports day has arrived ! " Mr Lee announced through the microphone . Everyone in the stadium started to make a lot of noise right after Mr Lee finished the speech . Everyone in the school like sports day as all of us do not have to attend school . Every year's sports day , my friend , Tiffany and I would be very excited as both of us like running competition . Our school's sports day is an inter-class competition instead of the colour houses .

I took part in the 200m sprint event , 4 x 100m relay and 4 x 400 m relay event . Tiffany took part in the same event as me but she has an additional 100m sprint event . After waiting for quite a long time , Mr Lee finally said " All 100m sprint event participants , please report to the starting line . " I said all the best to her and she left . Few minutes later , " Bang ! ". All the participants started running . I saw Tiffany , she got the fourth position . Then Mr Lee called for 200m sprint event participants . When I was at the starting line , I was very nervous . Suddenly , "Bang ! " . I started running as fast as I could after I heard the sound . I used all the energy I had to run . I ran past the finishing line and found out that I got the first position . I was saturated with happiness and was holding Tiffany's hand and jumping around .

Suddenly , I felt droplets of water dripping onto me . I looked up into the sky and found out that it was raining . Everyone that was on the running track ran towards the shelter . After everybody was back into the shelter , Mr Lee started saying "Due to the weather , the sports day has to be cancelled . So , everyone please go home now . " Everybody was reluctant to leave but we have no choice . Everybody walk out of the stadium with their umbrella . The sports day ended , unexpectedly , in this way .

Write a story about how a missing child finds his way home

One fine day , Tom decided to bring his son , Nick , to the crowded Orchard Road . He told his son " Remember to hold my hand tightly when we reach there . There will be a lot of people there and you will get lost easily . " Nick nodded and continued playing with his toy . Not long later , they reached Orchard Road . The people there was more than what Tom has expected .

Tom grabbed Nick's hand and went into the crowd . It was the second time Nick went there . He was very excited . He turned left and right as he walked through the streets . Suddenly , something caught Nick's attention . He let go of his father's hand and walked towards the thing . It was a PSP . He watched the other kid playing with the PSP . After a few minutes , he then realised that he should be following his father . He turned back but he could not find his father . He walked around the area but still could not find his father . He got anxious and started crying .

Suddenly , one guy stood in front of him . Nick looked up and that guy grabbed Nick's hand and let Nick stand up . He asked "What happened ? Where is your parents ? " Nick answered while sobbing " I could not find where my daddy is . " That guy answered " Do not worry . I will help you get home . Do you know how to go home ? " He said while pulling Nick out of the crowd . Nick answered " Yes. I know what bus to take to go home . Can you bring me to the bus stop ? " That guy answered " Of course ."

When they reached the bus stop , Nick thanked the guy and went up the bus . During the whole journey , Nick was looking outside the bus to make sure that it is the correct way to go home . After a few minutes , Nick reached the bus stop he has to alight . Nick knew the way home so he walked very fast . Not long later , he reached home . When his father saw him , he shouted " Nick ! You are back ! I was so anxious when I lost you ! You found your way home ! " Then , he hugged Nick tightly . He continued saying " I knew you are a clever boy and you can find your way home . Clever Nick . "

Describe how you and your family spend a Saturday , now that all schools are enjoying a five - day week .

A golden glow spread across the sky as the sun chased the clouds away . It was a Saturday afternoon , my family and I were planning the activities we were going to do next. Then , my pet dog , Coco came into the living room . Finally , we decided to take Coco to the park .

When we reached the park , Coco was jumping around excitedly . We found a place to settle down and had our lunch . We had a enjoyable time eating our lunch and chatting together . After resting for 15 minutes , my sister and I brought Coco for a walk around the park . It was such a long walk which made Coco down so much water after it .

After the walk , my sister and I decided to rent two bicycles to cycle in the park . While we were cycling , we also chat about what happened in school and many other stuffs. We did not realise that we had already cycled for 30 minutes so we decided to head back to find our parents . When we were reaching , Coco saw us and wagged her tail vigorously which made me very happy .

After all the activities in the park , we brought Coco back home before heading out for dinner as pets were not allowed in shopping centres . We went to the nearest shopping centre around the neighbourhood . My father decided on Jacks' Place . Although the waiting time was long , we had a happy time chatting while waiting . Finally , the food was served . The food was delicious and we had a sumptuous meal .

After i reached home , my whole body ached in protest . I quickly took my bath and went to bed right after I dried my hair . I think when schools are enjoying a five-day week , we can have more time to spend with our family unlike last time when schools are having a six-day week which we have to go to school on Saturday .

Savour your favourite nyonya cuisine as the ambience and music serenade you. In my opinion, they always serve the food with a smile. That make us feel very and we can enjoy a sumptuous meal.

When you enter the restaurant, you will find it very cozy. They serve the food fast and refill the food and water fast. The restaurant is fill with wooden tables and chairs. There are many kind of food. Example: The customer Pong The, the crispy Seroni’s Fried Fish and the delicious Ice Kacang Cendol.

There is a dessert called Ice Kacang Chendol. It looks and smells very nice. The jelly is also tender. In my opinion, the Ice Kacang Chendol goes well with ice and jelly. When I eat the Ice Kacang Chendol, there was a cold and sweet feeling in my mouth.

There is also a dish that is Chicken Wing. It is not oily. It is crispy. The meat is also tender. The skin of the chicken is very crispy. When you bite it, you will find it very crunchy. It is quite salty too. I think this Chicken Wing is also better than Singapore’s Chicken Wing.

Seroni Restaurant is a very good place to enjoy Peranakan food. If you really like Peranakan food, you can go there and try some of the food there. In my opinion, if you try the food once, you would want to try it again because the food there is the real taste of the Peranakan food and are very tasty.
